Also on brown envelope journalism today I pondered: Why do they keep banging on about MTN masts were used by Radio Biafra (which is rubbish) are they trying to discredit MTN and bring them into the case why? On October 22 this year the NCC imposed an unprecedented fine of $5.2 billion (N1.04trn) on MTN, mostly this being boiled down to use of unregistered sims being a breach in national security??

Yet does this not breach your human rights, I can walk into any corner shop here in UK buy a sim top it up with cash and use it and never register, so why doesnt this breach UK national security ?

So as I asked more questions I got to know infact that MTN chairman is infact an Igbo man, (Pascal Edozie) am I surprised not really not knowing the marginlization against Biafrans. But does make me to think why MTN doesn't start its own Biafran sims, a company in Russia did it for Biafrans living in Russia.

Maybe someone who knows this chairman should discuss it with him, would be a good move for MTN!!
UPDATE: This morning the company made a statement that MTN Nigeria’s CEO Michael Ikpoki and the head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Akinwale Goodluck have tendered their resignations with immediate effect.
