HOW GOVERNOR OKOROCHA’S PLAN FAILED A SABOTAOR OF THE IGBO RACE,BIAFRANS & KANU BEFORE BUHARI  …SEE.

Why would Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha approach Aso Rock Villa with a proposal to destroy the support base of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and get him spend the rest of his life in goal ?

This is the question that has come to the fore with the revelation that the governor would have gotten the project through had the people he allegedly recruited not abandoned him half way into its operation.
Whirlwindnews.com, was reliably informed that the governor, had some few days to Christmas, at the time Buhari was being assailed by critics for, in total disregard of the rule of law, allegedly ordering the Department of State Services (DSS), not to release Kanu, as directed by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja, devised a scheme that would effectively take the wind off the sail of the IPOB leader’s support base.

The governor, according to sources, had actually, for that purpose recruited some members of the organisation, which is currently demanding for the carving of a separate state of Biafra from the present Nigeria, 45 years after an attempt to do it by armed struggle failed with the surrender of the Biafran forces in 1970, after a 30-month fierce war that saw the South East and parts of South South, practically decimated.

Okorocha

But Okorocha scuffed at the story, waving it off with disdain, when Whirlwindnews.com, attempted to ascertain its veracity or otherwise. Here is how the source put it: “Their mission was to go to Buhari and pledge to him that they had denounced everything about the agitation for Biafra and Kanu, which if it had succeeded, would leave Kanu without any support base, because these were key members of IPOB. After meeting with Buhari, they were supposed to address the press and make all kinds of allegations against Kanu that will make Nigerians and the rest of the world see him as a demon.

Having been so denounced, he would be left in detention probably for the rest of his life without anybody calling for his release. He had already assured the Villa that he was going to get the project through and they were waiting for him to come with the IPOB leaders. But the project failed, because those he relied on told him that they would not go anywhere without Kanu regaining his freedom.

He failed to realise that the agitation is not about Kanu as a person, that whatever Kanu is saying or doing is what has been collectively agreed and even if he dies today, there will be more than a thousand others who will continue where he stopped. It is not a one-man show as many people are being made to believe.

In fact, what has remained a mystery is what he stands to gain if Kanu is left to die in detention. Is that what will give him the presidency? What manner of President can he be without carrying his people along ? With all the things OPC did, Gani Adams was freed by Obasanjo. With all the killings committed by them the Niger Delta militants were still negotiated with. Asari Dokubo was flown in a presidential jet to negotiate with Obasanjo. Others too flew in private jets to meet and negotiate with Yar’Adua. Even if Shekau agrees today to negotiate, he will get a similar treatment. Yet, Kanu, who never fired a shot, on whom not even a penknife was discovered in his pocket is being treated as a terrorist. That is the Igbo man today. Yet, they are being told that it is a crime to want to leave Nigeria. We shall see.

Spokesman to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, however dismissed the story with a wave of the hands saying his boss was too busy for such a project. “The governor is too busy to get involved in such issue of who denounces one or who does otherwise, Merry Christmas.
